Hello and welcome to the

South Huron Dog Obedience
Virtual School

Owner and Head Instructor - Kate Fletcher

Welcome | Behavior Tips | Lesson #1 | Lesson #2 | Lesson #3 | Lesson #4 | Lesson #5

These pages are devoted to all dog loves who want their dogs to be not only well mannered members of their family but community as well.

The next pages are meant to be a help to anyone wishing to learn how to teach their dog the basics of obedience but it is not meant to replace Dog Obedience classes. Classes are needed to provide distractions under a variety of circumstances to train your dog to work effectively even under difficult conditions.

Proper Equipment needed.

  • A 6 foot leather leash (for your comfort not the dogs)
  • small fitting, small link chain choker collar
  • Running shoes and comfortable light weight clothing

With your dog sitting beside you on your left, slide the choker
collar over the dog’s head making sure it is on correctly.
